He graduated the courses of the Bucharest Music University, Composition-Musicology and Pedagogy Faculty, in 1975. As a member of the National Chamber Choir “Madrigal” directed by Marin Constantin, in the period 1974-1988, he took part in all his artistic events, tours, national and international festivals.
In the period 1980-1988 he acted as a musical studio-director at the Romanian Television.
Since 1988, as a second director of the Children Choir he participated, together with the director Eugenia Vacarescu, in the artistic organizing of all the performances of this choral ensemble: special radio recordings, “a cappella” concerts in the R.R.S. studios, over 25 international festivals and artistic tours in almost all the European countries, the U.S.A., and Japan.
In the same time, in the period 1994-1996, he was the lecturer for the Vocal Ensembles Choir at the Ecologic University of Bucharest.
In 1994, he established the “Sound” choral group at the Students’ Culture House in Bucharest and, in 1995, he actually started the activity of the group by: recitals in Bucharest and other Romanian towns part taking in different radio and TV broadcastings. With this group he won the highest distinctions at the 3rd Religious Music European Competition in Noyon, France (1998) and at the International Choral Competition in Bad Ischl, Austria.
In July 1999, he took part in the 5th Choral Music World Symposium organized by the International Federation for Choral Music (I.F.C.M.) in Rotterdam, Holland, and last December he was elected as an adviser to the Executive Committee of the said body.
In the period February – June 2000 he conducted the Radio Academic Choir.Currently, he participates in carrying on different cultural programs meant to improve the artistic management in the choral field.
