"Rustem Abyazov most completely used the sound capacities of his powerful instrument and struck with variety of timbres: the warm, sonorous sound in the low registers opposed the gentle, crystal-clear sounds in the high ones…The concert fantasia on the themes of "Porgy and Bess" by Gershwin performed at the end of the program showed Rustem Abyazov as a sort of magician whose instrument possesses all kinds of violin technique".
