|Miltiadis Cassaras took his first music lessons from his father. From an early age and during his studies appears on Greek television, giving concerts as a soloist and concerts in cities of Greece.
The same period he was chosen to represent Greece at the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra. Noting that he was the first Greek cellist in the then ten-year history of the institution chosen as well as the highest rating (20/20). He also represented Greece at the meeting of Mediterranean Cultural Exchanges (ECUME) under the Cultural Capital of Thessaloniki in 1997, appearing as soloist with the Orchestra of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
During his academic studies he took part in the National Cello Competition “ART” where he won the first prize. He also took first prize in the competition “Young Soloist” of Volos as well as the Competition of Young Soloists of the State Orchestra of Athens. He received scholarships of the following institutions: IKY, Athens Megaron Concert Hall, Thessaloniki Megaron Concert Hall.
As a soloist he has performed with the Athens State Orchestra, State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, the Thessaloniki Municipal Symphony Orchestra, Municipal Orchestra Larissa, Volos Municipal Orchestra, Municipal Orchestra of Kalamaria, String Orchestra of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki State Conservatory Orchestra and under the direction of B. Fidetzis, L. Xanthopoulou, D. Demopoulos, etc. He studied at the side of international renown names like A. Baillie, X. Jankovic, N. Gutmann, E. Papastavro, D. Patras, G.Teulieres, T. Wick.
